<<<<< A small shed on Bodega Ave. Note the
piece of corrugated steel on the roof and the
fact that it is not rusted, yet.
Now for something different: ...
I don't think this boat will ever sail again.
This loading
ramp, probably
for sheep, is right
across the street.
Nice example of
old wood and
rotten boards.
On30 size, this little
house, located near
the boat, can't have
much more than
four rooms. Note
the shiny new
smoke stack.
Did somebody
use a razor saw
to weather those
boards? >>>>>
<<< I like the door
handle made from
a strap of leather
and the high-tech
closure.
For Rent. Very Cheap.
The roof of this structure is not in a little
valley, that's all that's left standing. >>>>>
<<<<< From the Bushmans centre, at
Pukekura on the west Coast of South
Island, New Zealand. The Sand Flies
are VERY big over there.
It doesn't matter if you're on the Left Coast or the Right Coast. The
pictures below are courtesy of Dave Faulkner .
"Here are some definite fixer-uppers from my area on the coast of Maine. I'm one peninsula over from the site of many of Andrew Wyeth's paintings".

Dan Stenger sends us these:
You can get a good idea of the lean by looking at the metal post
securely bolted to its base. I like the various types of sidings and
the detail in the awning, something easily modeled. LG.
Back West again, these pictures are a contribution from Doug Rowe. If they had doors at each end they
would be shotgun houses.
At best I think they're just fire traps. Good thing you had some film left Doug. LG.
These photos were taken just off I-80 Eastbound, exit
between 49 and Foresthill- near the bottom of the dip. You can
see the pavement of the offramp in the background on a couple
of the photos. The buildings are readily visible from the
offramp, possibly from I-80.
I had noticed them on a previous trip, and was on my way back to Sparks from the NMRA meet in Concord, with a few exposures left on my roll of film.....

Jumping back East again, we have a couple of honeys from Larry K.
<<<<< "This is an old Indian house located
near Harbor Springs, Michigan".
A future Tom Yorke Kit ?
"All shots were taken with my Canon 10D... on very overcast days.
(Hope to get back for better shots)
This house is located near Morley, Michigan". >>>>>
There are times when a cloudy day makes for better pictures; less
dense shadows. I'd say you did real good Larry. LG.
From Bill Davis, an old building from
Tunica, Mississippi.
Bill thinks this quaint structure was moved on this farm from somewhere else.
The wide front steps look more like bleachers. Could be modeled as a General Store.
This page is dedicated to funky old structures.
The purpose of this page is to inspire you and provide you with examples of weathering as seen in 1:1 scale.
Most of these are within thirty miles of where I live but I will be happy to post some of yours if you believe they
would also be of interest. Just email them to me.
Because they are on private property I will not always be able to provide shots from all angles. Whereas my other
pictures are copyrighted I am waking these available to all, for use as you wish.

"This has burnt down since I took these a few years ago. : ( It was the first auto repair garage in Boone Co. and one of the first gas stations in Northern Ky."
